The Miss Bush Sample Sale is legendary. Fabulous dresses, immense savings & ongoing service. Here are my Top Ten rules to get the best on a budget.

1. Know what you are looking for – the sale is not a time to browse & see what suits you. Look for specific dresses, designers styles that you already know you love.

2. Be realistic. Do not buy a dress too small with the hope that it can be let out or you can slim into it.

3. Look for ‘end of relationship’ designer labels. If I decide not to go forward with a company or designer I want the stock cleared fast. This means more tempting reductions.

4. Look for discontinued styles. Often bridal designers will discontinue a style & replace with a near identical dress. These dresses often have up to 70% discounts.

5. Quirky or leftfield dresses that appeal to very fashion led brides are great sale finds. Bestsellers will be used as samples forever & rarely make the sale.

6. Seriously tiny budget? Look for famous brands & current season dresses. Wear it & sell it on. Could you be that strict?

7. Read the small print. Like all other fashion retail, bridal shops do not give refunds on sale goods. Love it or leave it.

8. Know what’s included. Miss Bush includes cleaning, remedial work & storage in the price of a ‘full-service’ sale dress. Peace of mind & guilt free shopping.

9. Save more by going ‘take-away’ . Know a great seamstress? Not local? Greater savings can be made by removing the service element.

10. Don’t forget the accessories. Invest  in ex-display headpieces, shoes & jackets. Couture style with a Claire’s price tag.
