Alex and Luke were married at the the Excellence Playa Mujeres in Mexico in March this year, followed by a party for friends and family back in The U.K.

We’re delighted to share their images today by photographer Jesus Garcia Moreno who shot the ceremony in Mexico, and Hana Laurie who captured their reception and portraits back in Brighton.

The Dress

Maggie Sottero Farah is an elegant chiffon sheath dress with decadent Swarovski crystal and pearl beading covering a dramatic and intricate illusion neckline and back.

Alex tells us more;

“I went for the Maggie Sottero Farah dress as it was super light but still covered up which is what I wanted, especially as I knew it would be super hot in Mexico in the sunshine.

 I came with my mum and two friends who have very different taste so I could get varied feedback on all the dresses. Turns out my mum was the most brutally honest and pretty much disregarded 3 or 4 of the options straight off the bat!

No accessorising was required because of how pretty the dress was. Just a sparkly pair of shoes!”

About the Day

Alex tells us more about deciding to head to Mexico for their ceremony;

“We wanted a very intimate wedding ceremony and so decided that going away to Mexico on our own was the best way to do it. It was a wedding and a honeymoon all in one. Because of the laid back Caribbean place we decided simple was best!

What was your favourite part of the day? In Mexico you use thumb prints in your marriage certificate. We didn’t realise this before hand and loved this little added extra during the ceremony.”
