For a supposed ‘bad-ass’ I am actually just a massive softie! Wedding films just make me cry. Cathryn looks incredible, that was never going to be in any doubt. Petite, auburn-haired & girl-crush pretty, Cathryn styled her wedding to be equally lovely. Peachy tones, gorgeous flowers, handsome men & cute kids – I just melted.
What I love about a wedding film is that it captures the nerves, the preparation, the tension, the love & the ‘off camera-moments.’ As a wedding professional I also thrill at seeing our dresses in action & being admired. Cathryn’s dress is Violet by Maggie Sottero; it’s tiny capped sleeves & low V back channel this season’s trends whilst remaining classic. I can’t imagine looking back at this & wondering what one was thinking! It also features Maggie Sottero’s legendary corsettry – now with buttons & loops on most dresses.
I feel a weird kind of maternal pride that Miss Bush helped someone choose, style & fit their dress to perfection. I think I need to watch a wedding film a day to remind me that the fruits of my labours are truly significant in our clients lives. I would urge, if budget allows, commissioning some kind of film. It brings another dimension to the lasting memories of a day that goes too fast.
