Happy Saturday! Today’s wedding features our bride Charlotte and husband Fergus, who were married in the height of Summer in August last year, in a wonderfully relaxed, beautiful English countryside wedding, with a ceremony at their local church followed by a wedding breakfast and reception in their stunning garden at home.

THE DRESS

Charlotte wore a bespoke combination of two Jesus Peiro dresses; opting for the crisp tailored v-neck of 7023 and the full structured skirt and bow as seen on 8005. Charlotte tells us more;

“I was quite particular in terms of the dress I wanted and had gone to quite a few other shops. All of which had lovely dresses but the shopping experience was impersonal and forced.  I felt like the sales assistants were trying too hard to impress/please me. I was thrilled to meet Emma and Rosie who had a great eye and were able to tell me frankly what looked super or what was awful on!

In the end I went for bespoke Jesus Piero dress: the top of 7023 and the bottom of 8005″

“It was just my mother with me when I found my dress, but Emma helped take a video which I sent to a few of my close friends for their approval. I think my mother was just relieved we had found a dress combination I loved as by that point I had tired on a lot of dresses that hadn’t made the cut!

My favourite part of the dress shopping experience was the level of service provided by Emma and her team – honest, personal and best of all none of the pretentiousness some bridal shops like to pedal out. Emma is a super business woman who has created a beautiful space within her little chapel with wonderful floral arrangements, scented candles, daring displays and a fantastic collection of dresses to choose from.

I accessorised my look simply, with a hair vine, earrings and veil.”

ABOUT THE DAY

We asked Charlotte to tell us a little about the inspiration behind their day;

“Having been a wedding planner, I have seen countless stressed brides and grooms who haven’t been able to fully switch-off and enjoy their wedding day.  With this in mind, we both wanted a really relaxed feel to our day and it was very important to us that our guests felt well looked after.  We opted for all the formal elements of a traditional wedding day but in the comfort of our family home so it had a wonderful chilled out feel.”

“My favourite part of the day was walking into the church and seeing Fergus’ nerves wash away as he turned around and held my hand as I got to the front.  At that moment I think we both felt instantly relaxed and excited for the day ahead.”

FINAL WORDS

Some final words from our bride, Charlotte, offering some words of wisdom for new brides-to-be starting out on their wedding planning journey;

“Make a plan and stick to it – all of the stress should happen long before the actual wedding day.  Make the most of offers of help -delegation is key to achieving a stress-free and totally enjoyable wedding experience for all.

Enjoy!”
