We’re particularly excited to share todays wedding, as our bride Claire is one of the first real brides to wear a gown from the 2018 ‘Metropolis’ collection by Jesus Peiro.

Claire wore Jesus Peiro 8004 for her chic and beautiful Surrey wedding to husband Nick, which took place at her family’s local church followed by a reception at home in Effingham, Surrey. The images were taken by Divine Day Photography.

THE DRESS

Jesus Peiro 8004 is an absolute showstopper of a wedding dress, featuring a unique lace panelled bodice, with flattering wide waistband and full structured skirt offering a stylish, creative take on a lace wedding dress.

Claire reminices about her wedding dress shopping experience;

“My mother, sister and my oldest friend were with me when I found ‘the one’.

The moment I walked out of the changing room, they all immediately said ‘that’s the one’ and my mother cried!

I stood in front of the mirror and knew this dress was for me! Immediately, I fell in love with the fitted waist, the modern structured skirt and the beautiful detailed lace top. Moreover, the dress had pockets – it was perfect!”

“At Miss Bush I could take the time to explore all styles and designers and wasn’t pressured at all. I walked out of my first appointment with a completely different vision to what I initially thought I would choose. With Emma’s experience and fantastic eye I secured in my opinion THE most beautiful dress I’ve ever seen.

I wore a simple lace edged 2 tier veil with Manolo Blahnik champagne heels (my something new).

As the dress was so detailed, I kept my jewellery minimal and wore my Grandmother’s diamond studs earrings (my something borrowed and something old) and my mother’s sapphire ring (my something blue!).”

ABOUT THE DAY

Claire and Nick’s day was inspired by the bride’s parents stunning manicured garden, as Claire tells us;

“Key inspiration was drawn from my parent’s garden where we were lucky enough to have our reception. We tailored the style of our wedding around the beautiful setting where the use of greys, creams and blush tones complimented the surroundings. We aimed for a clean fresh look but made sure we didn’t lose the character from the garden – so much so we even had the marquee wrapped around a cherry tree.”

“The whole day was absolutely amazing, and it is difficult to highlight my favourite part however the champagne reception and the speeches have to be my top 2 highlights!

We arrived at the reception and were greeted with a sea of smiling faces – it was so special to have all our loved ones witness our marriage! I’ve always loved canapes so a personal highlight were the BBQ’s where scallops were cooked right in front of you.”

“The speeches were amazing, particularly the Best Man’s which was comic gold – he had the whole party in stitches!”

FINALLY…

Some words of dress shopping and wedding planning advice from Claire;

“Be open and try on all types of styles. I walked into Miss Bush with an idea which was completely different to what I ended up with.”

“On the day be flexible – you plan every moment of the day however things happen so just roll with it!

Also, try and take a moment just the two of you – everyone tells you the day will fly by and it truly does!

Lastly and most importantly, have fun!”
