Our wedding today features one of our absolute favourite gowns from last year, the stunningly romantic and glamorous Allen by Sottero and Midgley, worn by Georgy for her wedding to PJ at St Laurence’s Church, Lurgashall followed by a candlelit reception at the beautiful Cowdray House in Sussex. We’re delighted to share the images today by Bruce Neville, alongside some words about the day from our bride, Georgy.

THE DRESS

Allen is a showstopping ballgown featuring an incredible 3 quarter sleeved beaded bodice with deep square back covered in intricate Swarovski embellishments, which sits above a romantic full tulle skirt.

“Georgy says;

“I loved everything about the dress, it was all I had ever dreamed of in one…the glitz, the sleeves, the open back, the big skirt and train. It was a princess dress! The one thing it was missing were pockets – the amazing Miss Bush ladies worked their magic and gave me some! I also loved that it was the same designer as my sisters wedding dress.”

“I tried on SO many dresses it was getting ridiculous, my mum and sister came to see them (and I think they were starting to get a bit fed up!) It was between two dresses which were polar opposites, I just couldn’t make my mind up so I brought my dad along, he saw me in the first one and then I showed him Allen, his exact words were ‘it’s a no-brainer’!

The Miss Bush ladies made the whole experience so special, I couldn’t have found my dream dress without them, the amount I tried on elsewhere (50 odd) and then coming to them and finding the one was amazing. I went back 3 times, tried on so many different styles before making my decision, the two ladies I saw on my visits were Emma and Rosie, so I always saw someone I knew.  They were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble.”

Georgy styled her look with a fabulous pair of glittery shoes by Jimmy Choo, with a custom made sparkly veil and a delicate hair piece by Ivory & Co, complete with matching earrings.

ABOUT THE DAY

Georgy and PJ’s day was a simple and elegant affair inspired by their stunning venue, with chic gold accents, tons of beautiful fresh flowers and atmospheric candlelight.

Georgy tells us more;

“Our theme was romantic, along the three banqueting tables we had hundreds of candles, bottles of stunning flowers and to top it off beautiful gold rimmed glasses. Cowdray House itself is so gorgeous we didn’t need to do much to make it perfect.”

When asked about her favourite moment, Georgy simply couldn’t choose, stating; “I couldn’t pick a part of the day which was my favourite, I loved every minute of it.”

FINAL WORDS

Some words of wedded wisdom from Georgy;

“Go to Miss Bush, they will make finding your dress a magical experience and won’t just stop with helping you find the dress, they will help you put your whole outfit together.

Enjoy every moment!”
