Our wedding today features Miss Bush bride Kat looking stunning in Jesus Peiro 6017 for her picture perfect rustic barn wedding to husband Rick that took place in Hampshire last September. We’re so pleased to share their story with you today along with a set of beautifully shot images by photographer Nicole Ireland.

The Dress

Kat wore Jesus Peiro 6017 for her big day; a beautiful contemporary wedding dress in cotton pique fabric featuring a flattering round neck, full structured skirt and elegant crossed straps to the back, finished with a huge statement bow.

Kat tells us more about her dress;

“I absolutely love this dress! I arrived at Miss Bush hoping to find a fitted dress in lace, what I choose was far from this! Emma was fantastic and able to select dresses for me to try on which I never would have expected to like, in fact – when she showed me the dress I eventually chose on the hanger I thought to myself that this was not for me, but that I’d give it a go anyway. I loved it instantly and didn’t want to take it off. I liked how different it was compared to anything else I had seen and loved the simplicity of the dress, and the bow at the back of course! I tried on many other dress over the next couple of days but we kept reverting back to this dress and to Emma and the Miss Bush team, who were exceptional.”

“I brought a small entourage with me to try on dresses including my Mum, my two sisters (The Mimi’s) and my Chief Bridesmaid, Emma. I don’t think they had expected to like the dress as much as we did either, so there were lots of ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhhs’ when I came out of the dressing room wearing the complete opposite to the dress I had said I wanted (slim fitting and lace).”

“I loved every trip I had to Miss Bush, from the initial trying on of dresses, to the fittings, to collection. I loved seeing the team and visiting the stunning chapel.”

Kat kept her look simple, elegant and natural, opting for a loose braided up-do and a bold pink lip.

About the Day

Kat and Rick planned an idyllic countryside wedding, packed with rustic details and beautiful personal touches.

In Kat’s own words;

“We wanted a fun, relaxed Wedding and chose Pitt Hall Barn as it had a rustic feel (it’s actually a working farm complete with tractors, sheep, horses etc) and because we loved the team there, we had also been to a friends Wedding at this venue and absolutely loved it. We didn’t have a specific style as such, but I had 9 Bridesmaids to dress so the colour scheme was all dependent on what dress we might find for the Bridesmaids!”

“I loved the entire day from getting ready with all of my friends in the morning, the ceremony, the food, the band – it was so much fun! We had cocktail slush machines and a sax player playing ‘Ibiza chill out’ songs at the drinks reception; I didn’t want to miss any of this so we actually didn’t go to various areas of the venue grounds which were meant to be taken to for photos, but our photographer understood and did a fabulous job photographing us just outside the main venue. It also rained heavily all afternoon, so we improvised with umbrellas and this did not dampen our spirits.”

Final Words

Some wedding planning advice from our bride, Kat;

“I definitely recommend a trip to Miss Bush! You will find stylish dresses which differ from the styles which most other Bridal shops seem to have so much of. You will also receive honest help and feedback from Emma who has an eye for what works on different body types/styles, you’ll also have a lot of fun.”

“Wedding planning can seem stressful but it should not be – relax and have fun and you will enjoy every minute!”
