Our wedding today features Miss Bush bride Stephanie wearing one of our most popular wedding dresses this year, Jesus Peiro 6000. Stephanie and Michael were married in May this year, with an intimate and romantic day set in the stunning french countryside, in a chateau the Mas de Montet in the tiny village of Petit-Bersac.

The Dress

Made from structured taffeta mikado, Jesus Peiro 6000 features a large full skirt, halterneck and deep V neckline, finished with an on-trend bold bow to the nipped in waist.

Stephanie tells us about her wedding dress choice;

“It was the third dress that I tried on at Miss Bush and I knew it was the one for me. I just loved the shape that it gave me, enhancing my figure and hiding my problem areas. Even when the sample dress in the store didn’t fit I still felt amazing but it was even better when I was trying on my own dress for the very first time.”

“I had tried on the Jesus Piero 6000 when shopping with my mum and sister on my very first visit. At the time my sister wasn’t that keen but every dress that I tried on after that just didn’t compare. My wedding dress was a gift from my grandmother so I felt it was only right that she was there when I chose the final dress.”

“My grandmother was really keen to see me walk down the aisle in a lace dress but when she saw me beaming when I had the gown on, I could tell from her face that she knew it was the one.”

“My favourite part of the dress shopping experience that I felt whilst at Miss Bush was that I was in a safe pair of honest hands. Emma reads people really easily and you can tell that she has years of experience that she knows what will work based on your shape and skin tone. Equally how can you not fall in love with the setting, the chapel couldn’t be any more appropriate.”

“Every visit never felt rushed and I loved the private appointments where I had the whole teams attention for each session. Emma is really honest and that’s something that I really value because you need to love your dress and not choose something because others prefer it.”

Stephanie kept her look simple and elegant, choosing to wear her Sister’s wedding veil as her ‘something borrowed’, with a pearl hair comb decorating her chic updo, and classic pearl earrings. Blush flowers completed the soft, natural look.

About the Day

Stephanie and Michael wanted a very personal, intimate and romantic day, with really strong focus on their relationship and the importance of their vows.

Stephanie tells us more;

“I always knew what I wanted for my wedding day and I said right at the beginning that it just needed to be simple, elegant and romantic. I think it is so easy to get caught up in your own wedding in terms of amazing your guests that you forget what it’s all about. I just always kept in my mind what was it all for, which was the commitment and promises that Mike and I were going to make to each other.”

“To be honest I wasn’t really influenced by an era or style and it was something that Emma said to me when trying on dresses, she said something along the lines that “your not a fussy type of person and prefer a more classic style”, she barely knew me and I’d only just tried on one lacy dress but she had already summed me up so that ‘s what I applied to our day.”

“My favourite part of the day was the moment I had a first glimpse of Mike waiting for me at the end of the aisle. I just couldn’t wait to get outside and walk towards my best friend who makes me so happy who I could then call my husband. Our ceremony was really personal as it wasn’t religious and was all based on our beliefs and the journey that we had been on. I just stared at the man that I love (sorry bit cheesy) and felt that we were the only two people present at that time.”

“We had a small wedding with just 40 guests so standing in front of them all saying our vows really meant something to us, there wasn’t a single person there who hadn’t shaped us both in some way to make us the people we had become today. A truly special feeling to have all your loved ones around you that I will never forget.”

Final Words

Some words of wedding planning advice from our bride, Stephanie;

“When it comes to shopping for your wedding dress I think it’s best to go with an open mind. I think it is difficult to really know how a dress will look until your try it on but go to the appointments with the people you trust the most to give you an honest opinion. Most of all enjoy every minute of the experience and shop with your heart, choose the dress that makes you feel beautiful and confident.”
