A Postcard from Fetcham

Right – I have just witnessed editing a first hand by EFC and I now understand why my petulant demand to have my all my photos NOW is not possible. However I have to show something as a demonstration of everyone’s hard work, talent and good humour.

I have picked the images of Jeni in Jenny Packham as this is dress from the current collection and one of my favourites of the season. The image also shows the handiwork of a team coming together and  is the first of many.

Retired Samples Alert

Once in a while I have to have a massive clearout of older samples – especially when a simple, minimal silk dress’s fabric looks tired and a bit ageing (good job the same doesn’t apply to the staff!) Also certain fabrics fair better in the shop than others – tulle is particularly hard to keep looking good.

So as an alert to brides to be the following dresses have been retired – although they are all going to have one last hurrah – hopefully results will be blogged here!

Suzanne Neville

Aster, Manhatten, Mirabeau and Fontaines – can still be ordered but I no longer have the samples on display.

Maggie Sottero

Mirabella in Ivory and Champagne – still available to order but no samples in the shop.

If you want to revisit any of these dresses just give a little notice and I can call in a sample.

Detail of Suzanne Neville Fontaines – classic lovliness deserves to be fresh and crisp such.
