We were so delighted when Elizabeth and Phillip’s wedding landed in our inbox last week – it looked like the most wonderful day, and the images by Marshal Gray are stunning! Elizabeth wore a Jesus Peiro wedding dress from Miss Bush, which was the perfect dress choice for her fun and relaxed but classical Dorset wedding day.

The Dress

Jesus Peiro 7015 is an elegant, pretty wedding dress with delicate capped sleeves and a sheer striped bodice, with nipped in waist and a full, romantic skirt.

Elizabeth tells us all about her dress choice;

“I chose the Jesus Piero 7015 dress. I fell in love with the skirt because it reminded me of ballerinas! I wear stripes all the time and when I saw the top had stripes I knew this was the dress for me! Instantly I loved it and knew it was the one. There was a bow on the front but as I am so petite Emma and I agreed it swamped me so I had it removed. I used that material to tie round my flowers.”

“I took my Mum to every appointment and she loved the dress as soon as I stepped out with it on. After we had left the first time we kept talking about it and then when we went back for the second time we just knew!! I took my best friend and also Maid of Honour on the second time and both Hannah and my Mum just had massive grins! They said it was very me.”

“I found all other shops before Miss Bush a little hard work but Miss Bush just knew what they were talking about and understood exactly what I wanted. Trying on the dress and having my alterations was a lot of fun, I really enjoyed seeing the girls and catching up and also getting a sneak peak of other brides having their ‘I have found the dress moment’. I already miss my visits to the chapel.”

“I had a long veil which complemented the dress really well. I didn’t need a necklace as the top of the dress was so high up so I just wore my Grandma’s pearl earrings and on my right hand I wore Phil’s Grandma’s engagement ring which they gave me when we got engaged.

My shoes were my real big accessory. I had Christian Louboutin Swarovski shoes with pink glitter on the heel. They were my Cinderella shoes that I had always wanted and sparkled so much on the dance floor! Until trainers were required later in the evening….”

About the Day

Elizabeth and Phillip were married in Dorset at the beautiful Axnoller private house, which offered them a stunning backdrop for their intimate, relaxed wedding day.

Elizabeth says;

“We decided to have a weekend wedding to really make the most of spending time with friends and family. We chose Axnoller because it allowed us to have the wedding Friday- Monday and on the actual wedding day there was no time limit.

On the day, the plan was to marry on the front lawn but it rained so much the week of the wedding that we had to come up with plan B! Plan B was to marry in the barn, which we did and it was beautiful. The reception was outside the barn surrounded by the rolling hills of Dorset and the breakfast was back in the barn.”

“We just wanted the day to be really relaxed but have a classic feel about it. Axnoller is so stunning and my main aim was to make it look elegant. The flowers were a big part of the day and my florist Jennifer Poynter did a fanastic job of creating my vision!”

“Walking down the aisle and seeing Phil was my absolute favourite part of the day. That smile on his face was the best and I will never forget that moment. After then it was all wonderful but for me that really stood out.”

Final Words

Some words of wedding planning and dress shopping advice from our bride, Elizabeth;

“I would say ‘don’t stress!’ this is such an exciting time in your life just take in every moment and do what you want to do.”
