Our post today is a must see for classic car lovers! Kelley and Aston were married in September this year at the Brooklands Motorsport and aviation museum in Weybridge, with a classic vintage feel to their day making it the perfect setting for Kelley’s beautiful Maggie Sottero Fredricka wedding dress. We’re delighted to be sharing the images by Hayley Bray with you today.

The Dress

Maggie Sottero Fredricka is a stunning A-Line tulle wedding dress with a pretty sweetheart neckline, fitted form flaring out softly into a fishtail skirt with scalloped lace.

The body of the dress is covered from top to bottom in the most beautiful intricate lace; the structured lines of the distinctive lace pattern makes it perfect for those wanting to give a subtle nod to classic 1930’s Art Deco style.

Kelley tells us more about her dress choice;

“When I first went to Miss Bush I went by myself. Georgia looked after me that day, and actually picked out the dress for me. I hadn’t even originally considered the dress.”

“When I came back, I brought my bridesmaid (my new sister-in-law) to get her help picking between 2 dresses. Once she saw me in the Maggie Soterro she knew it was the one. Told me I had to choose it straightaway!”

“My favourite part of the dress shopping experience was being able to try on all the different dresses and seeing which style was for me. I also enjoyed that the team were able to understand what I was looking for and made it all pain free. The appointments never felt rushed either. It was such a joy to be in such a wonderful location too!”

Kelley accessorised her look with a pair of Roland Cartier gold sparkly shoes and a 3-tier fingertip length plain veil, finished with a pearl necklace and bracelet set and pearl earrings. In the evening she added a diamante belt for a touch of glamour.

About the Day

As groom Aston is a big car vintage fan and both Kelley and Aston are members of the Brooklands museum it seemed like the perfect location for them to get married!

More details about the day from our bride, Kelley;

“The feel of the day was very much inspired by the museum. Vintage and classic.
We are also big gin fans, so gin played a big part in the day too (table decorations and favours).”

“My favourite part of the day was seeing each other as I was walking down the aisle!

Aston had a tear in his eye, so I knew then the dress was perfect! He was also looking very handsome in his suit, which I hadn’t been allowed to see beforehand.”

“Other than that, the car rides which we had put on for the guests, going up test hill and around the race track was a big highlight of the day! They were so much fun and kept everyone entertained.”

I love that Kelley and Aston had a caterpillar cake at their wedding – I don’t think there’s a cake more celebratory than a good old chocolate caterpillar!

Final Words

Some words of wedding planning advice from Kelley;

“Trust the dress consultants, they know what they are doing. Also, don’t fret over the little things! Organising a wedding is stressful enough so don’t make it worse by worrying over them. If something isn’t quite right on the day, you will be the only one who knows. The guests won’t know how it was meant to be! It will still be the best day of your life! And just enjoy the planning process!”
