Perhaps my own personal favourite, bar one, in the new Maggie Sottero collection. The silhouette is classic mermaid. The detailing minimal. The ribbon lace is exquisite, ivory over a pale honeyed lining. It is truly extraordinary on ‘real’ brides. I insisted it was tried on Saturday and it reached several short lists. It ought to be seriously expensive, brilliantly it’s not.
If you have seen a lot of lace dresses, don’t want to look the same as your friends yet still want to work the look this could be the perfect dress.
Oh – and the name? Emery? Clearly as a girl of a certain age one face springs to mind! However as I love the dress so much I might re-spell it as Emmary and introduce a new adjective into bridalwear.
